October Horoscopes: What Netflix Original Should You Watch?

Aries (March 20- April 20)

You are the competitive type, and you prefer to be the leader in every situation. No exceptions. But, you are also pretty energetic and brave. This month, you should watch “Nailed It,” a Netflix reality competition where amateur bakers try to pull off Pinterest recipes. You have to be pretty brave to proudly unveil a phallic cake when the assignment was Rapunzel’s Tower.

Taurus (April 20- May 21)

You love pleasure and everything sensual. But you are hardly a flake, dependable and grounded in nature. This month, you should watch “Everything Sucks,” a Netflix comedy series about teens in the 90s dealing with crushes, parents and the drama club. It has enough interwoven and complicated relationships to keep you satisfied, but plenty of realistic situations and comedy to have you saying “Yeah, true.”

Gemini (May 21- June 21)

You love learning new things and the adventures that come with it, and you’re always willing to have a long chat with someone you just met. This month, you should watch “Dark Tourist,” the Netflix travel show that goes to the lengths of the earth to find weird and sometimes dangerous tourist destinations. This show will never leave you bored or short on exciting trivia, but it also takes the time to get to know the people around the strangest places on the planet.

Cancer (June 21- July 23)

You are definitely in touch with your emotions, and you know that nothing is more important than family, both the one formed by blood and the family we choose. That’s why this month, you should watch “On My Block,” a Netflix dramedy that follows a once close-knit group of friends into high school as the social issues of their lives threaten to tear them apart. You will laugh, cry and then petition Netflix for another season. The season finale itself will give you enough to chew on for months.

Leo (July 23- August 23)

You are the classic older sibling, organized, generous and a little overprotective. But when you are not busy taking care of all your friends, you might want to watch “Set It Up,” a Netflix romantic comedy that follows two characters just like you, secretaries to two powerful media moguls who trick their superiors into falling in love. The clever use of Google Calendars alone will have you in heaven.

Virgo (August 23- September 23)

You know what you like, and you believe that the world would be better if everyone acted a bit more like you. You also have a strong moral compass, which never does you wrong. This month, you should watch “The Great British Baking Show,” a Netflix-BBC collaboration that pits home bakers against each other in a surprisingly calm tent in an English meadow. Everyone is polite and the humor is dry, just how you like it. Even better, the season finales are big garden parties. Perfection!

Libra (September 23- October 23)

You are a pretty balanced out person, the kind of person people are jealous of because you always seem to have it together. You could probably have a good career in law since you are always looking for justice. That is why this month you should watch “American Vandal,” a Netflix mockumentary in the style of “Making A Murderer.” The main question of season one is who drew the dicks in the faculty parking lot? It is up to you to find out!

Scorpio (October 23- November 22)

Many people might call you extreme, but you prefer to call yourself passionate. That is okay with you, because you know more than anyone that everything is relative. This month, you should watch “The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes,” a Netflix series that follows our two architect hosts as they visit homes built in the most extreme climates. You might find yourself relating to the homeowners who know that, just like you, passion can often read as extreme to “regular” people.

Sagittarius (November 22- December 22)

You are the happiest person in your friend group, probably because you often forget your responsibilities. That just leaves room in your mind for more creative pursuits. This month, you should watch “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” a bizarre Netflix comedy that goes to wild lengths to make you laugh. You might see yourself in Kimmy, or as Titus, but either way, there is never a dull moment.

Capricorn (December 22- January 20)

You buck trends, keeping your life as classic and timeless as possible. That said, you are a driven person, who is not afraid to try new things just to succeed. This month, you should watch “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” a Netflix romantic comedy many people are claiming has jump started a new romantic comedy renaissance. The film will remind you of the classic John Hughes films of the 1980s, but takes a fresh approach that will be just enough to make you happy.

Aquarius (January 20- February 18)

You are a classic team player, if a bit stubborn at times. You like to think ahead, while also being generous to the problems of the here and now. This month, you should watch “Stranger Things,” a Netflix series that takes place in the 1980s and is inspired by hits like “E.T.” and “Alien.” The main team of kids will inspire you to go on your own adventures to take down government conspiracies. The true question is, though, will you stubbornly insist that the worst episode of season two was just fine?

Pisces (February 18- March 20)

Everyone likes you for your passion and energy, but you also have a sensitive side. That is why this month, you should watch “Bojack Horseman,” a Netflix comedy series that, at first glance is nothing more than a bizarre look at celebrity and nostalgia culture in Hollywood but, at second glance, is a deeply cerebral show that takes nuanced looks at sexuality, alcoholism and depression. Be prepared to cry.
