What to Watch in March: Jessica Jones, Girls Incarcerated, Black Panther and more!

If you are like the majority of college students, spring break won’t actually be spent on a vacation doing something amazing. However, there’s a whole week off to catch up on all of your favorite Netflix shows and maybe find some new ones to watch.

On March 8, Jessica Jones returns to Netflix after a three-year hiatus, which coincides with spring break. As per usual, the first of the month brought a slew of new releases, mainly movies, to the streaming service, including the original Ghostbuster movies. For the documentary junkies, a new series called “Girls Incarcerated” focuses on a girls’ juvenile detention center in Indiana. The eight-episode season premiered March 2.

Black Panther is still making headlines, as it should be, and is expected to continue to run in theaters through the month. A new and exciting type of romantic comedy is popping up this month with the premiere of “Love, Simon” on March 16 in theaters. “Love, Simon” is being called a “landmark teen classic” which will be known for the combination of a coming-out story and a romantic comedy. Lastly, the remake of “Heathers,” which premiered 30 years ago, will be released on March 7. The latest redo of an old, cult-classic movie has a mixture of high and very, very low expectations.
